Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the Beef: Slice beef against the grain. Combine beef with baking soda, soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: Whisk together chicken broth, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef: Heat skillet, add peanut oil and marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes until golden. Flip and sear other side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté the Aromatics: Add oil, diced onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Cook the Vegetables: Add asparagus, stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  6. Combine and Thicken the Sauce: Pour sauce into skillet, stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
