For the Crust
  • 2 cups Pretzels crushed
  • 1/2 cup Butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
For the Cream Layer
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 8 oz Cool Whip thawed
For the Jell-O Layer
  • 3 oz Strawberry Jell-O quick-set
  • 1.5 cups Water
For the Topping
  • 4 cups Strawberries thinly sliced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the pretzels and mix with melted butter and sugar. Press into a greased 9x13-inch baking pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
  2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy. Fold in Cool Whip and spread over cooled pretzel crust.
  3. Boil 1 cup of water and dissolve Strawberry Jell-O powder. Add 1/2 cup cold water to cool. Allow to thicken slightly without fully gelling.
  4. Pour the Jell-O over the cream cheese layer and scatter sliced strawberries on top. Press gently into the Jell-O layer.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results. Cut into squares to serve.
