  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together light brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  3. Sift in flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and allspice into the wet mixture and fold together gently.
  4. Mash the ripe bananas and fold into the batter along with chopped walnuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top, and sprinkle remaining walnuts and banana chips on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 55–65 minutes, checking for doneness at 55 minutes with a toothpick.
  7. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
