For the Tzatziki
  • 1 medium English Cucumber Peel and seed for best texture.
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt Use coconut yogurt for a dairy-free option.
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese Omit for dairy-free.
  • 1 medium Avocado Consider adding just before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped mint, dill, and oregano, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the lamb mixture into six equal portions and shape each into a patty about 4 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 375°F to 400°F. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side.
  4. While the burgers are grilling, prepare the tzatziki. Grate the cucumber, sprinkle with salt and let sit for 10 minutes. Then drain excess liquid.
  5. Mix the cucumber with Greek yogurt, crumbled feta, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, and chopped herbs.
  6. Once the burgers are done, let them rest for 5 minutes. Serve on pitas or burger rolls topped with the avocado tzatziki.
