  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh garlic is preferred.
For Cooking Liquid
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Vegetable broth or water plus a splash of soy sauce can be used for vegetarian option.

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings in the skillet.
  2. Add sliced smoked sausage to the skillet and cook for roughly 5 minutes until browned. Transfer sausage to a plate to keep warm.
  3. In the drippings, sauté diced onion for 3–4 minutes until soft and translucent. Drizzle olive oil if skillet looks dry.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add chopped cabbage, season with salt and pepper, pour in chicken broth, cover, and steam for 10–12 minutes.
  6. After steaming, return cooked bacon and browned sausage, mix gently, and heat for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.
