  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar or honey as a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger freshly grated
  • 1 pinch Crushed Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • 4 stalks Green Onions use both white and green parts
For the Base
  • 4 cups Cooked Rice or quinoa or cauliflower rice
For the Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add ground beef. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add minced garlic and freshly grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until garlic is fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the white parts of the green onions.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture over cooked rice and garnish with green onion tops and sesame seeds.
