Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 bag Rold Gold Tiny Twists Pretzels These provide a crunchy foundation with classic salty notes.
For Santa’s Features
  • 25-30 pieces Wilton Red Candy Melts Perfect for Santa’s hat and nose.
  • 25-30 pieces Wilton White Candy Melts Ideal for Santa’s face.
  • 25-30 pieces Wilton Bright White Candy Melts Create Santa's hat brim and fluffy beard.
  • 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Optional for small eyes.

Equipment

  • microwave
  • Sandwich bags
  • parchment paper
  • baking sheet
  • Toothpick

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by preparing your candy melts for the Santa Claus Pretzel Bites. Place 25-30 of the red, white, and bright white candy melts into separate sandwich bags to keep each color organized.
  2. Microwave the bag of red candy melts for 30 seconds, then knead the bag gently to help the melts distribute heat evenly.
  3. Lay out your Rold Gold Tiny Twists Pretzels on a sheet of foil or parchment paper, positioning them in a 'C' shape.
  4. Squeeze the melted red candy into the top hole of each pretzel to create Santa's hat. Fill the hole generously and let the candy ooze slightly.
  5. Now, it’s time to melt the white candy melts using the same microwave method.
  6. Carefully apply the white candy melts to each pretzel to create Santa's face, and use them for the hat brim and beard.
  7. For the final touches, use a toothpick to position mini chocolate chips as Santa's eyes and a red chocolate chip for his nose.
  8. Allow all the candy melts to harden completely, which should take about 15-20 minutes, before transferring them to an airtight container.
