Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering in a large pot or Dutch oven.
  2. Season 1 pound of steak with salt and pepper and sear in the pot for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the steak and let it rest on a plate.
  4. Add 3 minced garlic cloves to the same pot and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in 1 cup of orzo pasta and toast for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in 4 cups of beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until orzo is al dente.
  7. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, 2 tablespoons of butter, and ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  8. Return the rested steak to the pot and heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Adjust seasoning and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
