Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by washing and drying your Romaine lettuce thoroughly. Chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl. If desired, halve your cherry tomatoes and add them to the bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, combine the lemon juice, zest, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Whisk these ingredients vigorously until well-emulsified.
  3. Pour the dressing over the Romaine and cherry tomato mixture. Gently toss the ingredients together for about 1 minute.
  4. Sprinkle your croutons over the tossed salad. Lightly toss the salad again for an additional 30 seconds.
  5. Grate Parmesan cheese generously over the top. Add additional black pepper on top for extra flavor.
