- Cream the margarine and sugars until smooth and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and egg, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Sift in the flour and bicarbonate of soda, folding until just combined.
- Fold in the remaining M&M’s and chocolate chips evenly.
- Chill the dough covered for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan) and line baking trays.
- Shape the dough into balls on the trays, pressing reserved M&M's on top.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool on trays for 30 minutes before transferring to wire rack.
