- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
- In a bowl, combine mashed bananas, maple syrup, oil or water, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for approximately 8 minutes until golden brown. Insert a toothpick to check doneness.
- Allow donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optionally frost or glaze cooled donuts or dust with cinnamon sugar before serving.
