Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch square baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and blend until coarse crumbs form. Press mixture into the bottom of the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans, then pour the filling over the hot crust. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until slightly jiggly in the center.
