Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans and dust with flour.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together oil, buttermilk, hot water, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  5. Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for approximately 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
