Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the skin from the salmon fillet and cut into 1-inch cubes. Combine salmon with teriyaki sauce and kosher salt in a mixing bowl. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Press cooked sushi rice into the bottom of a small baking dish. Spoon the marinated salmon mixture over the rice, then sprinkle with garlic powder and brown sugar.
  3. Place the dish on the top rack of the oven. Set the broiler to high and bake for 6 minutes until the salmon is opaque and caramelized.
