- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes. Stir in diced onion and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add minced garlic, then mix in marinara sauce, crumbled bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to create a roux and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually stir in the whole milk until thickened, about 5 minutes. Mix in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9x13” baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce. Layer noodles, followed by béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar. Repeat until ingredients run out, finishing with cheese and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before slicing to set the layers.
