Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, stirring frequently for 3-4 minutes, until translucent.
  2. Increase the heat slightly and add ground beef, cooking for 5-7 minutes until evenly browned, draining excess grease.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, paprika, and Italian seasoning, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until spices are fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef or vegetable broth and orzo, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes.
  5. After simmering, remove from heat and stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
