  • 4 cups Cold Water Divided into 2 cups for cooking and 2 cups for mixing.

  • 0.5 cups Sugar Adjust to taste.

  • 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice Use freshly squeezed for optimal flavor.
For Serving
  • Ice Serve over ice for a refreshing chill.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing and chopping 4 medium ripe peaches, discarding the pits while keeping the skin on. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped peaches with 2 cups of water and about ½ cup of sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture over a large bowl or pitcher using a fine mesh sieve, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible.
  5. In the bowl or pitcher, add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over. Garnish with mint and slices of peach.

Notes
