Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash and chop 4 ripe peaches into small chunks, discarding the pits. Place the chopped peaches into a mixing bowl.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine chopped peaches, 2 cups of water, and ½ cup of sugar. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes until peaches are soft.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the peach mixture cool for about 10 minutes. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill completely for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Set a fine mesh sieve over a large bowl and pour the peach mixture through, pushing down with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
  5. In a large pitcher, mix the strained peach juice with 2 cups of cold water and 1 cup of lemon juice. Stir thoroughly and taste for sweetness.
  6. Fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over each glass. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and slices of peach.
