- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 finely chopped onion and 3 minced garlic cloves. Sauté for about 3–4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Incorporate 28 ounces of crushed ripe tomatoes along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for around 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
