Step-by-Step Instructions for Ham and Cheese Stromboli
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Let the pizza dough rest on a lightly floured surface for 10 minutes.
  2. Roll the pizza dough into a rectangle measuring approximately 10x14 inches. Coat the surface with olive oil.
  3. Spread layers of sliced ham, mozzarella cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper on the dough, leaving an inch border.
  4. Roll the dough tightly from one long edge to form a log shape, pinch seams to seal, and tuck ends under.
  5. Brush the top and sides with beaten egg and make shallow cuts across the top before placing it seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown, rotating halfway through. Internal temperature should reach 190°F (88°C).
  7. Allow to cool on a cooling rack for about 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
