Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the cream cheese, shredded cheese, chopped fresh herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Roll out the chilled puff pastry sheet to 1/8-inch thick and cut into 3-inch squares. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Place about a tablespoon of cheese filling in the center of each square and fold corners to seal. Crimp edges with a fork.
  5. Beat an egg and brush it on the tops of the pastries to give a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm with a dipping sauce if desired.
