Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Marinade
  • 1 pound Chicken Breast Lean protein
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Use extra virgin for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Dried
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika can deepen flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional for spice
For the Fresh Salsa
  • 1 cup Cucumbers Chopped
  • 1 cup Tomatoes Diced
  • 1 bell pepper Bell Pepper Any color
  • 1/2 cup Red Onion Diced
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese Crumble
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley Chopped
For Assembly
  • 4 pieces Pitas Warm
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce Store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Step 1: Marinate Chicken
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. Add chicken breast chunks and toss gently to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Salsa
  1. Chop cucumbers, tomatoes, bell pepper, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Combine with feta cheese and parsley in a separate bowl. Squeeze in additional lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and let sit.
Step 3: Cook Chicken
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated chicken in a single layer and cook for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Flip and continue cooking until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, about another 3-4 minutes.
Step 4: Warm Pitas
  1. Heat pitas until warm and pliable, either over an open flame, in a skillet, or in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 5-7 minutes.
Step 5: Assemble Tacos
  1. Fill warm pitas with cooked chicken, spoon fresh salsa on top, and drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
