Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter for about 30–50 seconds until fully liquid.
- Crush your garlic cloves and finely chop the parsley. Combine the melted butter with the garlic, parsley, and salt.
- Slice the sourdough loaf diagonally to create a grid pattern, ensuring not to cut all the way through.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture into each cut of the sliced bread, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese into each cut.
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
- Unwrap the foil and top the loaf with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered for an additional 5–7 minutes until golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
