For the Butter Mixture
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Salted butter can be used; reduce added salt.
  • 1 pinch Salt Adjust to your preference.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter for about 30–50 seconds until fully liquid.
  3. Crush your garlic cloves and finely chop the parsley. Combine the melted butter with the garlic, parsley, and salt.
  4. Slice the sourdough loaf diagonally to create a grid pattern, ensuring not to cut all the way through.
  5. Spread the garlic butter mixture into each cut of the sliced bread, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese into each cut.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
  7. Unwrap the foil and top the loaf with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered for an additional 5–7 minutes until golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
