Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse 1 head of romaine lettuce under cold water, chop into bite-sized pieces, and dry thoroughly.
  2. Peel and finely chop 1 shallot, then add to the bowl with dried romaine.
  3. Grate 0.5 cup of parmesan cheese and add it to the salad bowl.
  4. Zest 1 lemon over the salad mixture.
  5. Combine 0.25 cup olive oil, juice of 1 lemon, 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt, and a pinch of black pepper in a jar. Shake well.
  6. Pour dressing over the salad ingredients and toss gently.
