Preparation

  3. Top the dough with chopped pecans.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then mix in sifted powdered sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake base and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is slightly jiggly.
  7. Allow the cake to cool completely for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.
