Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by finely chopping about a cup of fresh parsley and one medium onion, ensuring the pieces are small for even distribution in the patties. Measure out your spices: cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to your preferences.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine one pound of ground beef with the chopped garlic, onion, parsley, and your measured spices. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients together.
  3. Form the kafta mixture into burger patties, about ½ inch thick, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. While the patties chill, prepare your creamy garlic toum. In a food processor, add around 4 cloves of garlic and the juice of one lemon. Slowly drizzle in about a cup of oil with the processor running.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a splash of oil. Carefully place the kafta patties in the skillet and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through.
