Preparation Steps
- Bake the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions, typically at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes. Cool completely and cut into 1-inch cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups of cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
- Layer half of the cake cubes, half of the pudding, half of the whipped topping, and half of the toffee bits in a trifle bowl. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
