  2. Mash the very ripe bananas until mostly smooth in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla to the mashed bananas and mix until fully combined.
  4. Sprinkle flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt over the wet mixture and gently fold until combined.
  5. Fold in three-quarters of the chocolate chips, reserving the rest for topping.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly, and scatter reserved chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into 16 bars.
