  1. Prepare the apples by washing and cubing a fresh apple into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the cubed apple, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes until softened, then strain and let cool.
