  • 3 cups Bell Peppers mix red, green, and yellow
  • 1 medium Onion yellow or white
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
For the Sauce
  • 2 cups Beef Broth low-sodium recommended
  • 2 cubes Beef Bouillon
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce low-sodium if preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce omit if not available
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger fresh ginger can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust based on broth and soy sauce used
For Thickening
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch or Flour choose cornstarch for gluten-free option

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and prepare the bell peppers, onion, and garlic.
  2. Collect all prepped ingredients in one place.
Layer in Slow Cooker
  1. Place sliced beef strips evenly at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Layer bell peppers, onion, and garlic on top.
Mix Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine beef broth, bouillon cubes, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, ground ginger, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until blended.
Combine
  1. Pour sauce over the beef and veggies, ensuring thorough coverage. Stir gently if necessary.
Cook
  1. Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 6 to 8 hours.
Thicken Sauce (if necessary)
  1. If desired, mix cornstarch or flour with water and add 30 minutes before serving to thicken sauce.
