Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Spray the interior of your slow cooker with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken and sprinkle the seasonings evenly on top.
  4. Add the chicken broth, and cover the slow cooker.
  5. Cook on LOW for approximately 4 hours.
  6. Remove the chicken and shred into bite-sized pieces, return to slow cooker.
  7. Stir in tortellini, mozzarella cheese, and heavy cream until well combined.
  8. Cook on LOW for an additional 30 minutes.
  9. Fold in baby spinach, and cook for an additional 10 minutes with the lid off.
  10. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning to taste.
