  • 2 stalks Green Onions Adds fresh garnish for a crisp finish.
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce Can mix coconut aminos and maple syrup for a substitute.
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut Aminos Traditional soy sauce can be used if preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar Can substitute with any vinegar available.
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha Any chili sauce can replace it for different spice levels.
  • 2 tablespoons Water Used to thin out the sauce for better consistency.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Ground Beef and Baby Broccoli
  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the halved baby broccoli and diced white onion to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Add the extra lean ground beef, let it cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until browned, then crumble and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Combine hoisin sauce, coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sriracha, and water in a small bowl. Pour over the beef and stir to coat.
  5. Allow the mixture to cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until the sauce caramelizes slightly.
  6. Return the sautéed baby broccoli and onion to the skillet with the beef and gently toss together for an additional minute.
  7. Serve over fluffy microwaved jasmine rice and top with sliced green onions.
