Step 1: Prepare the Crust

Step 2: Make the Custard
  1. Gently heat whole milk in a saucepan until steaming. Whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Gradually temper the eggs with warm milk, then return to saucepan and stir until thickened, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 3: Combine
  1. Pour the thickened custard over the cooled crust, ensuring an even layer. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2–4 hours.
Step 4: Serve
  1. Slice the squares into pieces, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with fresh berries or chocolate sauce.
