Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Allow it to melt completely for about 1 to 2 minutes until it's bubbling gently.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add 2 minced garlic cloves to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Stir in 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and 1 cup of tomato sauce, followed by 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until well combined.
  4. Add 9 ounces of refrigerated cheese tortellini to the sauce, stir gently, cover with a lid, reduce heat to medium-low, and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  5. After 5 minutes, remove the lid and stir gently. If the tortellini is not tender, continue cooking for 1 to 3 additional minutes.
  6. Once tender, season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
