- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Cook diced chicken seasoned with salt and pepper for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Add remaining butter to the skillet. Sauté minced garlic and diced onion for 3-4 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes, let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return chicken and drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Heat for an additional 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley before serving.
