- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add chicken and season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add garlic and onion, stir for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Lower heat and mix in heavy cream and chicken broth. Add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken and drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, adjusting seasoning.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
