Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add beef stew meat and sear until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Stir in chopped onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Pour in beef broth, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Add dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour.
  4. Add wide egg noodles to the pot and cook for 8–10 minutes until noodles are al dente.
  5. For thicker broth, mix cornstarch with water, stir into the pot, and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
