- Begin by measuring out your coconut milk, granulated sugar, freshly squeezed orange juice, and lime zest.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the measured coconut milk and sugar over medium-low heat. Stir continuously for about 5 minutes until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Gradually add the freshly squeezed orange juice to the warm coconut mixture, whisking continuously. Heat for an additional 3-4 minutes until the mixture begins to gently simmer.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and lime zest. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving dishes or a large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
