Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding the dry mixture and milk until fully combined to form a smooth batter.
  5. Divide the batter into three parts, mixing cocoa powder into one for chocolate, pureed strawberries into another, and leaving the last as vanilla.
  6. Pour each mixture into prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the layers to cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting and Assembly
  1. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  2. Assemble the cake by layering chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry layers, spreading frosting between each layer.
  3. Cover the entire cake with frosting and add decorations as desired.
