Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine 2 ¼ teaspoons of active dry yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and ¾ cup of warm water (110°F). Allow this mixture to sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.

- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 3 ½ cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt. Create a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture, ¾ cup of plain yogurt, and 2 tablespoons of oil. Mix until combined and knead for about 10 minutes.

- Transfer the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, covering it with a damp towel. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it has doubled in size.

- Punch down the dough gently and divide it into 8 equal balls. Roll each ball into an oval shape, about 8 inches long and a quarter inch thick.

- Preheat a greased cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for about 1 minute until golden brown, then flip and cook for another minute.

- Mix 3 tablespoons of melted butter with 2-3 cloves of minced garlic. Brush this garlic butter mixture onto the warm naan and garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley.
