Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally, spread a layer of Dijon mustard inside each if desired.
  3. Layer 2 slices of ham into each croissant and sprinkle with shredded Swiss or Gruyère cheese.
  4. Close each croissant and place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and add fresh or dried herbs as desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
