Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your ingredients and prepare cutting board and knife for slicing.
- In a large mixing bowl, add sliced chicken breasts and drizzle with olive oil. Toss with chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, toss together sliced bell peppers and onions with remaining olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread seasoned chicken and vegetable mixture evenly on the sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Switch to broil during the last 5 minutes of cooking for extra char. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lime juice over the fajitas. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
